Why Bellevue homeowners choose NU Curations
Bellevue holds two very different design problems inside one city. Nearly half of its single family homes were built between 1960 and 1979, and those neighborhoods still shape how people live here. Somerset's split levels step down the hillside with their best windows aimed at the lake and the skyline, so furniture placement has to answer to the view rather than fight it. Lake Hills, Newport Hills, and Woodridge are full of ranches and split entries where the rooms are well proportioned but compartmentalized, and the design work is about connection and flow.
The other Bellevue is newer and larger: West Bellevue and Northwest Bellevue rebuilds, and the downtown towers where an open plan condo has no walls to tell you where the living room ends and the dining room begins. Those spaces are structurally finished on day one and completely unresolved as rooms. Zoning them with rugs, lighting, and furniture scale, instead of walls, is the entire job.

Open plan condos are one of the most common Bellevue projects we take on, and they are their own discipline: without walls, the room boundaries have to come from furniture layout, rugs, and lighting. View-facing units add a second constraint, because the window wall is the feature and the furniture plan has to work with it rather than block it.

We design the space, document every selection, and coordinate with your contractor so the build matches the plan. If you do not have a contractor yet, we are happy to work alongside the one you choose.
Yes. Many of our Seattle projects are furnishing and styling scopes: layout, furniture, lighting, window treatments, and art for a home that is structurally fine but does not feel finished. These projects follow the same process, just without the contractor handoff.
